Atilla Kuzu studied Industrial Design at Marmara University, graduating in 1987. He founded ZOOM/TPU in 1994 with architect Levent Cirpici. His design ‘Taklamakan’, was selected as a finalist in 1999 at IFDA, International Furniture Design Fair competition, in Asahikawa. ‘Taklamakan’ has been chosen for the collection of the museum MARTa in Herford by Frank Gehry. In 2002, his ‘Barringer’ coffee table was selected amongst the work of 820 other designers again at IFDA. He was selected as one of the 50 most creative contemporary Turkish designers in the world.
